LubenhamCE Primary School

Enrichment

The school offers a number of clubs throughout the year led by staff members and from outside sports organisations. We do this to provide the children with further opportunities to refine their skills and to develop confidence in a broad range of activities. We are part of the South Leicestershire Schools Sports Partnership programme that means we are able to partake in competitive and immersive sporting opportunities. The activities range form traditional team sports such as football and netball to newer sports such as cyclocross and dodgeball. Being a small school it means that every child has the opportunity to play for a sports team during their time in Key Stage 2 and more often than not they get to play for a number of teams.

All children have the opportunity to experience Forest School sessions every year. Every class has a block of lessons based in our school grounds, sometimes reinforcing learning within the science and geography curricula, but always building problem solving and teamworking skills through working in the outdoors.
